Last year, our family had to make a difficult decision to place my wife in a memory care facility.  I spent a lot of time talking to friends, references, and family as well as doing a lot of research on the best possible facility for my wife.  After a lot of time considering the alternatives, the key thing that drew me to selecting The Retreat was that it felt more like home for her rather than a sterile institutional facility.  Since she has been there, my wife has been happy, and I feel very confident that she is getting the best care possible.  In addition to just ensuring that my wife gets the best care possible, the staff are always doing special things for the residents as well as family members to help create great times together and special moments.

The staff are amazing and work hard to ensure that my wife is safe, happy, and healthy.  While caring for someone with dementia can be difficult and challenging at times, the care and compassion that they show always is truly amazing.  For a family member, it is reassuring to know that if ever need discuss the care plan for my wife, I have access to anyone on the staff at The Retreat whenever needed.  I am very happy with the decision that my family made to transition my wife to stay at The Retreat.  It allows me to just enjoy the special times with my wife and family and not have to worry about her care.

The Retreat is a beautiful facility with lovely furnishings and gardens. But beyond the physical property, the real beauty of The Retreat is in its managers and staff, who are knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. They work tirelessly each day to make residents feel special and loved, and family members can be reassured that their loved one is well-taken care of and safe.
